So sorry to hear about Andy passing.  He and I were friends from the early ‘60’s when we both worked at the downtown YMCA.  Andy was always kind, upbeat and a happy good friend.  RIP my friend...  Bob

Andy was one of my pals growing up in Fircrest. At Wainwright Elementary School, we were on the school-boy patrol. Here he is on the right with another buddy, Tom Johnson, on the left, posing in front of my house. We're wearing our patrol badges, and Tom has his yo-yo champion patch on his sweater.

Andy had a playful streak. Late one afternoon we were goofing off at his house, about one block away from my house, and he tied me to a tree in the back yard. Then he went inside for dinner. My mom called me for dinner, and I had to call back that I was tied up to Andy's tree. How embarrassing.

I lost touch with him years ago, and I regret that I didn't reconnect over golf at one of the recent reunions.

Another of our classmates has passed away. Andy and his family lived across the street from us on North 26th Street when we were Wilson Rams. I am so glad that I attended the 55th Reunion; I saw Andy there and I am sure that he golfed at that event. I imagine those that golfed with Andy have heartfelt memories of that day!

I have enjoyed watching the 55th Reunion photos set to music on our Website; thank-you to those who are keeping track of us. For those of us who are blessed to continue enjoying this life and our retirements, may we honor the memory of those we have lost by sharing our gratitude with persons whose paths cross ours. I send my deepest condolences to Andy's family. The absence of a loved one can often be a deafening silence.
