Penny and I are sorry for your loss.  Dave was a good friend and an example of what we should all be.

He will be in our thoughts.

I am sorry to hear of Dave's passing.  We were friends in highschool and for the year he attended WSU. I hiked around the top of Mt. Rainer with him and Skip Post right after HS graduation when we very nearly got stranded in a storm;  went over to Pullman with him for Fraternity Rush,  Have great memories of those days and am glad I got to see him after so many years at the 50th reunion.  I always believed he would be successful and he was in the things that matter.

Dolores,

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing.  What a guy!  His stature, I think, is best exemplified in an intramural flag football championship game among the fraternities.  It was an incredibly foggy day, which was very unusual for the Palouse.  Dave caught a pass in the end zone, but nobody could see it.  Even though it was the final play of the game, when Dave said that he caught it, nobody questioned it.  When you consider how contentious these games are, it was more than remarkable.  Dave was integrity personified.  We were all privileged to have known  him.

Dear Dolores, What a legacy you and Dave have left everywhere along your journey together. Dave was a member of many of my classes since Jefferson Elementary School. We were also WSU Cougars! His little sister and mine were good friends. His father was our official photographer forever...all of our school photos! Dave exemplified the qualities of success, integrity and all that is good as long as I can remember. This is the loss of a classmate that will touch many of us in a significant way. God bless you with strength and peace, Sharon Hickey Eivinsen

Hi Dolores:

David and I were on a post summer job road trip to Tijuana a couple of years past Wilson HS graduation. In SF upon returning to our unlocked parked car we came upon a drunk passed out in the back seat. Dave saw that his suitcase was missing. Dave was a powerful young man. He one handed the drunk, "set him on the curb", and said, "let's go; he needs it more than I do." We left.

I always loved my friend, a "stand up guy", a "mensch" (Yiddish: a person of integrity and honor.)

Best always,  Larry Levy
